About two weeks ago, a new version of Family Ties/Familienbande was released. It’s a free Mac OS X (and possibly MacOS 8.6/9 with Carbon) genealogy application from Stefan Mettenbrink. As we’ve noted in the past, it’s only available in German, however it is useable by non-German speaking genealogists. We’ve provided a page with a list of translated features here.
Changes (Translated from German -> English via Google):
* GEDCOM source data importing expanded (The translation is hazy)
* Errors in GEDCOM importing fixed
* Small errors eliminated
* “beim Aufrufen der Einstellungen stürze Famileinbande ab – rough translation is “when calling the attitudes fall Famileinbande” – if anybody can translate this better, please contact us or comment on this. Any errors in translation are not intentional.
