MacFamilyTree, Synium Software’s Mac OS X genealogy application, has received a fairly substantial update, with the release of MacFamilyTree 6.2.10. While it’s mostly fixes, the GEDCOM importer was improved, as was the Fan Chart configuration.

If you are a current MacFamilyTree 6.x user and have it set to automatically check for updates, you should see the update the next time you run MacFamilyTree (it’s under the MacFamilyTree menu – “Check for Updates” if you need to do it manually. If it was purchased through the Apple Mac App Store, the update should show up there as well.
It can also be purchased through Apple’s Mac App Store and does require Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later. Update: MacFamilyTree 8 – Synium Software GmbH is currently only available as a new purchase.
