We’ve setup a new genealogy software site : http://www.mobilegenealogy.com/
Mobile Genealogy Software for PDAs – Palm OS, Pocket PC, even Psion, Qtopia, and Newton.
This is one of those areas that I’m very interested in, that there really didn’t exist a central location for information (much like MacGenealogy.org).
Of course, this just means that Apple will launch some kind of PDA in the near future, running some form of OS X that would allow me to use Mac genealogy applications on it, and I could bypass the whole VirtualPC/Active Sync thing (actually you don’t need that with My Roots since there is a native Mac version. )

While on another small project, I came across this article: PDA Software for Users by Laura G. Prescott (Ancestry.com) from the middle of 2004, that some of you might find interesting.
I’ve also put together a page on another site (I’ll mention it in a minute) about *drumroll please*
Genealogy software for the Newton is still available.
Genealogy + Mac + Palm OS Handheld

If you have a Palm OS Handheld (PalmOne, Sony Clie, etc.), you might want to check out a genealogy program for Palm OS called My Roots that has Mac support. It is a genealogy application that can import/export GEDCOM files to and from your Mac and your Palm OS Handheld through a conversion utility. You can view or change any data in My Roots on your PDA, and the changes can be exported back to your Mac.
