Reunion 10.0.4

Leister Productions has released Reunion 10.0.4, the Mac OS X genealogy application that many use, and it’s a huge update, mostly consisting of bug fixes, with a few additions for usability and other areas.

First and foremost, if you are one of those lucky ones who bought a new MacBook Pro Retina, they have fixed some of the display issues with it. If you are still on a PowerPC Mac (PPC), there is also some fixes having to do with files created on a PPC Mac that were uploaded to ReunionTouch – Leister Productions, Inc (App Store).

There are also several user interface fixes and updates, as well as usability fixes such as web searches opening up your selected browser.

For those needing to incorporate LDS functionality, Temple Codes will display in the Place column in the People List, and tooltips were added to the bottom icons in the LDS Ordinances window.

Reunion 10.0.3

It seems to be a trend – every few weeks, a massive update to Reunion 10, which was a complete rewrite of the popular Mac OS X genealogy software. This time it’s version 10.0.3 and it brings with it a major upgrade to Reunion 10’s “Search the Web” feature, with 47 websites now available

Among some of the highlights:
– You can create custom web search groups with drag and drops.
– Numerous interface changes
– Improved compatibility with the Firefox web browser
– LDS Ordinances window has been reinstated.
– Numerous bug fixes

Reuniun 10.0.2

A few weeks ago, Reunion 10.0.2 was released, and like 10.0.1, it has a very impressive list of fixes, changes, and additions. The folks at Leister Pro have been working hard since the release of Reunion 10.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you can download it here. If you have tried it, or purchased or upgraded it, you can select the update feature built into Reunion 10.

Among the major changes, you can now obtain coordinates of a place when you move pins around in the Geo Code Place window. The relationship calculator has been improved, and four websites have been added to the resources – Ancestry.com, Ancestry.ca, FindMyPast UK, and the Guild of One Name Studies.

New – Places feature addition
In the Geo Code Place window, you can now move the pin point to an exact location (for example, a home, farm, cemetery, etc.) and retrieve the geo coordinates of the exact location of the moved pin point.

“Find relationship between two people” feature improvements”

  • Multiple blood relationships will be reported if they exist.
  • Blood relationships will take precedence over spouse relationship.
  • By default, the husband and wife in the current family view will appear as Person 1 and Person 2 for this feature.

Search the Web feature improvements
– Moved the item “Search Favorites” to the top of the pop-up menu.
– Added the following resources:

Reuniun 10.0.1

Reunion 10.0.1 is out, and it contains a huge amount of bug fixes. If you are having any problems with Reunion 10, you need to download this update. Reunion 10 was released last week, and it’s shaping up to a very impressive release. Yes, there are some crashes and issues, but the folks behind Reunion have been working diligently, mostly likely through the past weekend to get these corrected.

If you aren’t having problems, you should still upgrade. You can either download it here or select the update feature built into Reunion 10:

Leister Productions, Inc. has released Reunion 10.0, and it’s a huge upgrade over Reunion 9. It’s been just over a year and a half since Reunion 9 was last updated, and the folks behind Reunion have been very busy. I’ve been waiting to see Reunion 10.0, and it definitely delivers a major upgrade over Reunion 9.
