There is an article on Random Genealogy about backing up your genealogy data and making sure it’s some place safe, in light of the recent hurricane. They were referencing another article about documents you should backup.
It made me stop and think, because I do have a lot of one-off things from the family (photos, documents, etc.), that if something happened to my house, we would lose a lot of the family history.
I’ve made copies of my data in the past and given them to others, but I will be doing a comprehensive backup this week and putting it somewhere safe (and away from me).
