Apple switching to Intel Processors

We are just as surprised as anybody else. Apple is going to switch to Intel processors for the Mac lineup, starting June of 2006.
Note: It does appear official – “Classic” apps (those build for MacOS 8 & 9, and/or below) will not be able to run under the “Rosetta” emulator that runs PowerPC apps on the Intel-based Macs. This is fairly serious for many of us, but every indication is that PPC machines in use now, and including those sold through the end of the transition to Intel, will be supported for several years to come. There’s also nothing that says you can’t hold onto an old Mac to run what you need, or that somebody won’t produce an emulator.

Gedcom2Geneweb has been updated to version 1.3.7
This application allows you to convert a GEDCOM File and produce a new file suitable for any Geneweb application. It has been tested on GEDCOM files issued from Reunion 8.x for MacOS X, GEditCOM 3.x and Heredis X. The purpose of this application is not to provide a way to fully convert your data to Geneweb but rather to help you in publishing them over the Internet, especially the Geneanet web site.
It requires Mac OS X 10.3+

BookKeeper 2.0b12 was released.
BookKeeper is a citation tool for writing papers. It currently formats bibliographies and endnotes in the MLA style and also formats outlines. Additional styles are available as plug-ins. All you supply is the information, and BookKeeper will add in the punctuation and other details.
This releases contains interface improvements, and adds APA Plugins.
Requires: Mac OS X 10.1+
