Mac OS X Genealogy Applications
With the latest Mac OS X 10.4.3 update, Reunion users once again should have the ‘Virtual Plotter’ feature working.
PAWriter II version 45 has been updated.
This update adds printing of family group sheets, and the reference guide folder has been updated as well.
MacFamilyTree 4.2.1 is now available. This update of the 4.2.x series now requires Mac OS X 10.3, adds some new features as well as a few bug fixes. It also improves importing GEDCOM files generated by Reunion.
PAWriter II version 45 was updated yesterday, as well as the Reference Guide Folder.
There are now nine known active genealogy applications for the Mac platform (that we know of):
Family Ties (Familienbande), a free genealogy application from Stefan Mettenbrink for Mac OS X (and probably MacOS 8.6+ and MacOS 9.x+ with Carbon) and Windows.
Tom Robinson released two AppleScript applications last month that deal with Reunion’s Source Usage Report, and converting it into either a text file that can be read into other applications, or importing it into a FileMaker databse.
