Montage Librarian Pro 1.0

October 28, 2005 by admin · Leave a Comment

Montage Librarian Pro 1.0 has been released. Montage Librario Pro is an application geared towards document management (I think most genealogists probably have a decent collectection of documents from various sources these days).

Official Description:

Montage Librarian Pro combines powerful text indexing and searching together with quick document viewing in one easy-to-use package. You simply tell it what documents you want to search and where you want to search for them – be it locally or on a network, Montage Librarian Pro can find it. Quickly find documents in Plain Text, RTF, HTML, Adobe PDF and Microsoft Word (.doc) formats. View your documents within Montage Librarian Pro or specify your own viewer.

Integrated all-in-one user interface allows you to quickly find the information you want without having to open multiple windows.

This does run on Panther (Mac OS X 10.3), and there is a 7-day trial available.

It appears that this is MTLibrarians’s successor.

Bosworth-Toller Anglo-Saxon Dictionary 1.4

Update: There was another version released hot on the heels of version 1.3 – Version 1.4 of the Bosworth-Toller Anglo-Saxon Dictionary is now available.

Description:

BosworthToller is a computer version of the Bosworth-Toller Anglo-Saxon Dictionary. This Old English Dictionary is out of print, hard to find, and expensive. It’s also huge and not that fast to look up words in…

This program lets you search the dictionary by entering in substrings and typing in the weird anglo saxon characters by their modern equivalents, and so it’s faster and easier to use than the physical version, or even the online version.

It’s free and requires Mac OS X

Version History:
1.4
- added foward/back buttons and buttons to make the main
text larger or smaller.
- cleaned up selecting.
